Websites for clinical negligence solicitors

People who search for clinical negligence advice are often unsure whether anything went wrong at all. A clinical negligence website works when it explains what negligence means, how a claim is assessed and how long that takes, and how funding works, then offers a careful, confidential way to describe what happened without needing records at the first step.

Concept design for a fictional firm. Not client work.

The first question

“Something went wrong with my treatment. Was it negligence?”

A patient or relative, often months later, unsure whether what happened was wrong.

How clients choose a clinical negligence firm online

These enquiries rarely come straight after an event. A patient or relative may search months later, after a complaint has gone nowhere or a second opinion has raised questions. They read carefully, compare firms on expertise, and are put off by anything that sounds like a sales pitch.

The work itself is slow and evidence-led. Records have to be obtained, independent experts instructed and, under the pre-action protocol for clinical disputes, the healthcare provider is normally given four months to respond to a letter of claim. A website that is honest about timescales sets the right expectations and filters out enquiries the firm cannot help with.

What a clinical negligence page needs

Approach: careful, measured and explanatory. An open enquiry — what treatment, roughly when, and what happened — with no records needed at first contact.

  1. 01

    What negligence means

Harm that proper care would have avoided, explained without jargon

  2. 02

  3. 03

    Time limits

The general rule and the exceptions for children and capacity

  4. 04

    Funding

No win, no fee and other options, with deductions explained

  5. 05

    The team

Who reviews claims, and their experience

Design decisions, and why

  • Explanation leads, because many visitors aren't sure anything went wrong.
  • Realistic about timescales: these claims are often long, and saying so builds trust.
  • Measured language about doctors and hospitals, as visitors often still rely on the same services.

Main website or a separate site?

Usually the main website.

Clinical negligence clients choose on expertise and reputation, often over weeks, and the firm's main site and people carry that. A separate site can work for a narrow focus, such as birth injury, with the firm clearly named.

What the SRA rules require

The SRA Transparency Rules do not list clinical negligence among the services that require published prices. Claims for injury caused by negligent treatment are personal injury claims, so the ban on referral fees in section 56 of the Legal Aid, Sentencing and Punishment of Offenders Act 2012 applies. Publicity, including about charges and no win, no fee terms, must be accurate and not misleading (SRA Code of Conduct, paragraph 8.8). Whatever the area, every SRA-authorised firm must publish its complaints procedure, including how and when a complaint can go to the Legal Ombudsman and the SRA (rule 2.1), and display its SRA number and the SRA digital badge prominently (rule 4.1).

What we don't promise

No one can guarantee rankings, enquiries or mentions in AI answers, and we don't. We build a site that is clear, compliant, fast and easy for search engines and AI tools to understand, and we're candid about what that can and can't do.

Questions firms ask

How should a clinical negligence website talk about doctors and hospitals?

With restraint. Many visitors still rely on the same services, and some are unsure whether anything went wrong. Explaining what negligence means in law, and how it is assessed independently, is more reassuring than language that assumes fault.

Should the enquiry form ask for medical records?

Not at first. Asking for records up front puts people off and is rarely needed to decide whether to look further. A short description of the treatment, the dates and what happened is enough for a first review.

Can clinical negligence have its own website?

For a narrow focus, such as birth injury or a particular type of treatment, a separate site can work. For general clinical negligence work, the firm's reputation and named specialists usually belong on the main website.
