Law firm websites · Civil litigation
Websites for civil litigation solicitors
People considering a civil dispute want to know whether it is worth pursuing and roughly what it might cost. A litigation website earns trust by being honest about proportionality, explaining the usual route from first letter to resolution, and helping visitors decide before they enquire, which improves the enquiries the firm receives.

The first question
“My neighbour's extension is on my land. What are my options?”
A homeowner weighing whether a dispute is worth pursuing.
How clients choose a civil litigation firm online
Neighbour, boundary and debt disputes attract many enquiries that are not viable. A site that is candid about cost and likely outcomes filters those out early and makes the viable ones more confident, which is a better use of fee earners' time than a high volume of first calls that go nowhere.
Civil litigation clients also judge the firm on how it explains things. Clear, measured writing about how disputes progress is a stronger signal of competence than claims of being aggressive or winning.

Design decisions, and why
- Costs are discussed openly, because proportionality is the real question.
- Alternatives to court are shown early, which builds trust.
- The form asks for a summary, not documents, at first contact.
Main website or a separate site?
Usually the main website.
Civil disputes vary widely and rely on the firm's general reputation. A focused site can work for a specific volume line, such as debt recovery, with a clear audience.
Specialist enquiry sitesWhat the SRA rules require
Debt recovery up to £100,000 for business clients is a service listed in rule 1.4(b) of the SRA Transparency Rules, so a firm publicising it must publish cost and service information for it. Other civil disputes for individuals are not on the list. Whatever the area, every SRA-authorised firm must publish its complaints procedure, including how and when a complaint can go to the Legal Ombudsman and the SRA (rule 2.1), and display its SRA number and the SRA digital badge prominently (rule 4.1).

No one can guarantee rankings, enquiries or mentions in AI answers, and we don't. We build a site that is clear, compliant, fast and easy for search engines and AI tools to understand, and we're candid about what that can and can't do.
Questions firms ask
Should a litigation firm talk about cost on its website?
Yes, in an honest way. Disputes are hard to price exactly, but explaining how costs build up and when a dispute may not be worth pursuing builds trust and reduces enquiries that are not viable. Debt recovery up to £100,000 for businesses has specific SRA price requirements.
How can a litigation website improve enquiry quality?
By helping visitors understand proportionality and the likely route before they get in touch, and by asking a few qualifying questions in the enquiry. Both lead to fewer, better-prepared enquiries.
Does civil litigation suit a specialist site?
Usually the main website is better, because litigation clients choose on the firm's general reputation. A focused site can work for one clear, high-volume line, such as debt recovery for businesses.
